Semester Break Solutions

In 1912 Hoy Transfer began assisting Penn State University with its moving and storage needs.

 

Hoy Transfer has created ”Semester Break Solutions” to remove the burden from Penn State University students and parents regarding moving out of the dorms, storing belongings and moving back into the dorms. With our program, the only concern families have is what to do during break.

 

Semester Break Solutions provides packing materials, pick up, storage and delivery of the student’s belongings as detailed below.

Materials:

Cartons will be provided in designated areas in each dormitory hall. Registration must be completed before cartons will be distributed. Cartons available are:

Heavier loads such as books, files and other paperwork.

Larger items such as computer monitor, clothing and other lighter items.

Please write name, contents and phone number on the top of each carton.

PICKUP:

Designated pickup days are May 5 - 8.
Curbside: Student brings their belongings to the Hoy Transfer truck outside the dormitory.
Door to Door: Hoy Transfer will pick up belongings from the dorm room and take them to the truck.

 

Each item/carton is listed on Inventory Forms along with size of carton, contents and in the case of non-boxed items, the description of the item, condition and any serial number or other identifying markings (if applicable).

STORAGE:

Hoy Transfer will transport student’s belongings to our warehouse to be stored until delivery out is scheduled.

DELIVERY:

Designated deliver days are August 20 - 22.
Curbside: Student picks up their belongings at the Hoy Transfer truck outside the dormitory.
Door to Door: Hoy Transfer will deliver belongings from the truck to the dorm room.

 

Student will verify all goods were received via Inventory Sheet.
